Uniformed & Plainclothes Security

Uniformed security will help deter theft and violence. Plainclothes security can help with crowd control. Surveillance is used to help detect theft & suspicious people, plus record any incidents.

Armed & Unarmed Security

We can meet your security needs with our armed and unarmed security guards, mobile security patrols, and on-site video surveillance. We assist with enforcing rules, regulations, and ordinances.

Discreet, Private Investigations

Our investigation division is experienced in conducting investigations. We can assist attorneys with investigating child custody, divorce, will & estate dispute, harassment, defamation, espionage, witness interviewing, neighborhood canvases, embezzlement, surveillance, insurance fraud, and other services upon request.

Training in Active Shooter Preparation

We teach the signs to look for, how to respond if you are in a shooting situation and what companies can do to help in preventing these types of situations from occurring. After the classroom portion is finished the participants take part in a simulated live fire shooting and put their skills to the test.

Workplace Violence Awareness Training

We can meet your security needs with our armed and unarmed security guards, mobile security patrols, and on-site video surveillance. We assist with enforcing rules, regulations, and ordinances.

Diversified Protection and Investigations LLC is a West Michigan based small business. We offer uniformed and plain clothed security guards, confidential investigation services, and workplace violence and active shooter preparedness training.

With more than 31 years of law enforcement and security experience, Diversified Protection and Investigations LLC has the experience and knowledge in providing security services, and conducting investigations for individuals and attorneys.

Our Security and Protection division is lead by former reserve Deputy who brings their training and knowledge to our clients to help them determine their security needs that will protect you, your property and most of all your employees and guests.

Our Investigative Division is led by a bilingual (Spanish) speaking retired Law Enforcement Officer, of 31 years. The last 16 years of his career, he was assigned as a full-time Detective Sergeant in the Holland Police Detective Bureau, investigating major crimes and has experience testifying in State and Federal court systems. He is a graduate of the 194th session of the F.B.I. National Academy, Quantico Virginia.

Diversified Protection and Investigations LLC is a State of Michigan licensed Security Guard Agency and Licensed Professional Investigator. We are insured.

History

Diversified Protection and Investigations LLC (DPI) is located in the greater Grand Rapids area and was established in 2009 by four entrepreneurs with over 50 years of combined experience in law enforcement. The partners’ roles and experience in law enforcement cover a broad range, from a retired in good standing, Detective Sergeant, to an interim Captain of a former Sheriff Reserve Division.

DPI is a state licensed and insured company that is specialized in armed security and professional investigations. We are members of the Wyoming-Kentwood Chamber of Commerce, ASIS International, Michigan Contract Security Association, and Michigan Council of Professional Investigators.

Diversified Protection and Investigation employees’ experience include certified law enforcement officers, retired law enforcement officers, and special deputies. We place high importance on training and educating our employees on the latest trends, defensive tactics, and experiences in the industry.
